The new version 7.0 will contain an updated Risk Assessment module and a new, much faster and more effective synchronization engine.
The rest of the solution is more or less unchanged and you will only notice a difference when you create a NEW Risk Assessment which will be created in our new STOP-based format.
Your current Risk Assessments made in the (old) "Process-based" format will automatically transfer to version 7.0 and remain in the Risk Assessment module. They may be opened, edited, printed, etc. Only difference now is that the revision date can longer be extended beyond what it is already set on, at the time you update the software. The import/export functionality is also disabled.
It is unfortunately not possible to automatically convert these Process-based Risk Assessments to the new STOP-based format. This will have to be done by the crew, manually, over time, but should be a fairly easy task as most information/text can be copy and pasted if you open them in separate browser windows.
CAUTION - There is an even older risk assessment format, the "Template-based" risk assessments. This type of assessment is not a valid risk assessment and has not been so for many years. Very few ships are using these and we have decided to retire this format completely and without further notice.
When you update to version 7.0 - these will disappear.
If in doubt, they can be recognized by being only text and not containing any actual assessment (Risk levels before/after) as well as being marked TYPE: Template.
On the front page of your risk assessment module it can also help you recognize the Template-based Risk Assessments as all are lacking a checkmark in the column "Mapping" and "Action Plan".
